Nichola began her formal study of the piano at the age of 17 and sat her grade 8 exam one year later. After leaving the Royal Northern College of Music she continued her studies with teachers of the Taubman approach in Berlin and New York.

 

Nichola has trained with Edna Golandsky in New York, at the Summer Symposium at Princeton University and performed at masterclasses.

 

In addition to her private work, Nichola also teaches piano at Llangattock and Gilwern primary schools.

Nichola co-runs Piano Orchestra South Wales with colleague, Hannah Merrett, and writes/arranges all music for the orchestra.

Hannah demonstrated exceptional talent in her musical studies from a young age and was admitted to the Royal Northern College of Music at 18, where she studied piano under Murray McLachlan.

 

In collaboration with Nichola, Hannah helps to manage Piano Orchestra South Wales, teaching orchestra members and overseeing the efficient operation of rehearsals. Additionally, she handles all administrative tasks!

Hannah runs her own music studio alongside Nichola, Piano Tuition With Hannah, and teaches piano at Gilwern and Llangattock primary schools.

Martha has recently become a part of our team, taking on the role of instructor for beginner Piano Lab classes. 

 

Martha studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and has recently earned her MA in Music Therapy.

 

As a skilled Jazz saxophonist, pianist and freelance musician, Martha is passionate about teaching and enjoys supporting young children in their musical journeys.
